Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
When you reach out through our contact form, we collect what you enter, which is typically:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your message
We also log the IP address behind each submission. We use it only to limit spam and abuse. For example, we cap how many submissions can come from one address in a short window.
Separately, we run our own analytics: a copy of PostHog hosted on a server we operate. It shows us how visitors use the Site: which pages get visited, roughly how people scroll and click, and which country a visit comes from, which it works out from your IP address. It may also record a session as a replay of what happened on the page; everything typed into a form field is masked, so it is never captured. This data stays on our server and is not shared with PostHog or anyone else. Recordings are deleted after 30 days, and the rest of this data after two months. Section 5 covers what it keeps in your browser.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use what you submit to respond to your inquiry and follow up about the services you asked about. We use analytics data to see how the Site is performing and where it could be clearer. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
3. Data Storage and Retention
We store what you submit in our own systems. We keep it only as long as we reasonably need it to respond to your inquiry and meet ordinary business and record-keeping needs, then remove it once we no longer have a reason to hold onto it.
4. Third Parties
Three outside services are part of how this Site works:
- WhatsApp: after you send the contact form, the Site opens WhatsApp with your inquiry written out as a message to us, and you can also message us there directly. Opening that link passes the message to WhatsApp, and that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not this one.
- Google Maps: our contact page shows a map from Google Maps. Loading that page connects your browser to Google, which receives your IP address and handles it under Google's own privacy policy, not this one.
- Cloudflare: every request to this Site passes through Cloudflare, which protects it and delivers it quickly. Cloudflare sees your IP address and what your browser sends, including the contact form, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
This Site keeps two things of its own in your browser. A cookie remembers whether you're browsing in English or Arabic, so you don't have to choose again next time. Our analytics keeps an anonymous identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage, so it can tell one visit from the next. Neither tracks you on other sites or feeds any advertising system. You can clear both through your browser settings at any time; the Site will then forget your language preference and count your next visit as a new one.
6. Your Rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email us at contact@budtech.om and we'll sort it out.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site or our practices change. Whatever's posted here is the current version.
