About the project
Ruby Shipping Line, a shipping company based in Muscat, was setting up a new office and wanted its technology handled end to end. No piecemeal fixes: one solid foundation, reliable from the day the team moved in. BudTech took on the full build.
The office network came first, then the server rack. A single server was configured with virtualization to run four separate virtual machines, so each workload stays cleanly isolated. On that we set up Windows Server with Active Directory for central user management, plus centralized, managed file sharing so staff could reach shared documents securely. We also configured the company email and tuned it for reliable delivery.
Every workstation was set up and protected with antivirus, and an automated backup routine keeps the business covered if anything goes wrong. For on-site security we installed IP CCTV. Calls run through a VoIP phone system with eleven extensions and six ring groups, so each call reaches the right people across the office. Printers and scanners were integrated into the workspace so everyday tasks just work.
The result: a new office that opened ready for work, on an independent, dependable setup that Ruby Shipping Line owns and can grow into.
